Before uploading your first product, let&#8217;s familiarize you with the product editor&#8217;s features. This option allows customers to order products even when they&#8217;re out of stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also set the low stock threshold to get notified when your stock runs low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, instead of setting a separate low stock threshold for each product, I suggest you go to <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; Products tab &gt; Inventory<\/strong> and set the low stock threshold. But what if, while viewing a product like the PlayStation 5, your prospect also sees suggestions for the controller or a video game? Configure your product catalog<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have a few products in your shop, you will be better positioned to configure more design elements on your website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u2019t introduce this at the start of the tutorial because you wouldn\u2019t have any products to check what your product catalog looks like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To change the look of your catalog, go to the <strong>\u2018Customize\u2019<\/strong> option from the toolbar on the top. Go to the design and general tab.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here, you can change the following design elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Font<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font colors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Margins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font size<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line height<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letter spacing&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add to cart button&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I suggest you explore this a bit and figure out what looks best for your website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-to-luminous-vivid-orange-gradient-background has-background\"><strong>Pro tip:<\/strong> One thing I recommend doing is visiting your competitors and noticing the colors and design elements they have used. For these pages, too, I suggest visiting your competitors and leading eCommerce sites like Amazon to get inspired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-to-luminous-vivid-orange-gradient-background has-background\"><strong>Pro tip:<\/strong> For your checkout page, add a <strong>\u201cPrivacy Policy\u201d<\/strong> and a <strong>\u201cTerms and Conditions\u201d<\/strong> page to maintain transparency with your website customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8. Adjust the menu<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, WordPress will add all new pages to your menu display on the top of the home page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/0zaO8-tqjtfBRJ7m9wOwOyoGFaxxOcIr16c_-95_l09R1zMvjUMOHcUpMsHbzrz2porhhCG6wOqAbcrTBs5PSNdo0McB6ItAea62ViErlrOXZKG1zupYmZ_wCkWxaq_CKDcghDWRR4vkNR_XjaAaMWk\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To customize your menu, you\u2019d want to head to <strong>\u2018Menus\u2019<\/strong> on the <strong>\u2018Customize\u2019<\/strong> panel. I named my menu <strong>\u201cMain Menu\u201d<\/strong> and connected it to the header menu on the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you click the \u201cAdd Items\u201d button, you will get a list of pages and categories you have on your site. Add the pages you want to be displayed on the menu.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, I suggest adding parent product categories to your main menu so your customers can easily navigate through the different product categories you offer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/vzQfpCgqypITnkYRZRpGpr9rIUplU4T4Pl2SVoG2Qdl4FSEmehA-qLaMalO9qR80ZrHdDSbGxQZqMq3BleF8ps5lVht-pHhWp4vFELYkMqSpLFcKwaCXqdTwOBCkXwI6kr58GC_SZh2t9qJBj8dAiIc\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also add sub-categories under parent categories by slightly dragging the subcategories to the right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9. Import products to WooCommerce<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While you can add products manually, there is an easier and quicker way to add products to your online store.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For learners, feel free to use the CSV product file I used in this tutorial via <a href=\"https:\/\/ferdykorp.com\/images\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>this link<\/strong><\/a>. You can also use this file to create your own CSV product file to upload on WooCommerce.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/mUf6g7_1pi9dgt7Y2Goap8ro7ds7bOnix5kc4jPnD_uDBcdxFjwMdGfMTDfbZrzbc-DTkdf15tx7NznCRKzaXHdPe2O5uEBGOIsqpTh6Wb3xnOmoMOHod12wsgJNOCTQq2iT2Wfu2FutbtwEXzBdSXM\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the file is ready, go to <strong>\u2018Products\u2019<\/strong> from the left panel on WordPress. <strong>Select All Products &gt; Import<\/strong> and upload the file.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While this will create multiple product pages, you will still have to upload the images manually.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To save time, you can download the images from the source link and upload them to your media library. Add a link to the images in your CSV file for the importer to upload the images automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10. Create a WooCommerce sidebar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve got tons of products on your website, you\u2019d want to add something your customers can use to navigate through your website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am talking about the sidebar that appears on the right or left panel of your eCommerce site with a search bar and product categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/eCGzzLHMF6nxJyK96hptV5cEVG4EnGAnRugg1o5Zn_DxCwVvM2itdWeqSaR3K8GOjEKMNPcw7Y4HuncdGsX_3beLXQBrhkMVxYmNpUpvcP-qgfWK-Lr-js7imEjarWjMEIYI0vItmLmd8fJd5R98LyY\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To add this sidebar, go to <strong>Customize &gt; Core &gt; Widgets &gt; WooCommerce Sidebar<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/uCMzM7IMSPC16xXaK--l9qXF-_ZzL-3JD9TLiFg5pYd-XbJq0Gpc7xOeGTYCGM-i4Ju9mulZXiaxDT3NsO7gc5tsxpab3VN_tWj3t0Ewclud07kbgx0oJVj3M3cXlelcJlFhtxQ23VrrfRCl-y96q-s\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add a block to add a widget. You will have a lot of widget options here. I prefer having a search bar or a price filter on top and product categories beneath it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are other widget options, too, and you are free to explore and add anything that suits your needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Adjust the look and feel of the sidebar<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have added the sidebar, you also get the option to customize its look and feel under the <strong>\u2018Customize\u2019<\/strong> option.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, you can activate the sidebar\u2019s sticky functionality so it doesn\u2019t move up when the buyer scrolls down to browse products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can learn how to create even more advanced filters by following my tutorial on Crocoblock below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Create Filters Using The JetSmartFilters Plugin\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-VNBhTyHb98?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Get creative with the cart<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In my demonstration, I added the cart on the sidebar, beneath the price filter so the customer can keep track. You can also add the cart to the menu so the customer can check their cart by just hovering over the cart button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this, go to <strong>Customize &gt; Header<\/strong> and drag <strong>\u2018Cart\u2019<\/strong> between your site\u2019s menu and search.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, the cart\u2019s total will be displayed on the cart icon. From a marketer\u2019s perspective, this is not a good strategy as it will allow the customer to keep track of their cart\u2019s total while shopping.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To change this, go to the Customizer, select the cart option, and customize the look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. Create coupon codes&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With coupon codes, you can take your online store\u2019s marketing and promotions to another level.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can give away coupon codes through your email list to your loyal customers and activate them during the sale seasons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/Q_DZfvaE04TRmIui8zAAxMw936wc5egukQJrQmdl3oDgdmIXls00ooGll1d353CqB_KQy5BNaKV776nzin-xMEMDhpiUF8ox3dOvjKlyHKidB2bB68DtI25az7GKGQ8wPgtOxbdE0A7pt-qbFyg8V0E\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To create coupon codes, go to <strong>Marketing &gt; Coupons<\/strong> from the left panel on WordPress.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/LUTNjPmVmLbGd_1byUg3j9QL7u-FVes_i3bpWytsb6LrSTAyvWq_U7GeQRmY5ERovj3v3056QPSUD-6VUzHELMviw8bUaVLPdZLchHRfOePzN6v21M2niyXciFkUN26p618vdRJImTXnNkScjm9F7Rk\" alt=\"Create a coupon code on WooCommerce\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Generate a coupon code and add the coupon data, which includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discount type<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coupon amount&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coupon expiry&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also define the usage restriction here, including the:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum spend&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum spend&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exclude sale items&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exclude products&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use in conjunction with other coupons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If any buyer uses the coupon when not applicable, a message will be automatically displayed on their checkout page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the color of this message to make it more visible from <strong>Customize &gt; General &gt; Messages<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also define the usage limits for the coupon code. For instance, you can allow the first 100 individuals to use the coupon or allow individuals to use the coupon code once or twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you add a percentage discount on the coupon, you also get the option to define the number of qualifying items in the cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>12. Set up shipping on WooCommerce<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you figure out the shipping costs, you want to specify the locations you want to sell to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this, head to <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; General<\/strong> tab and add your selling locations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can sell globally or to specific countries or select all countries and exclude some from your list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/_0tuTZZT8IX0mergB_8HFcMc4xZl0Xa-N9Fr4f9v4OqX5rjzNLtWEoRHrgL5sRjYlMJnfKvq2a7s0kCheyo-WA4x99T8gn7YLULz9GxqSP1cwvvkL4V8NA3gmBr-tIB8Esr9bBqFfFRxdzgl_4YJoE0\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the sake of this tutorial, I chose two selling locations \u2013 the USA and Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select <strong>\u201cShip to all countries you sell to\u201d<\/strong> and save changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before proceeding to the shipping tab to set up shipping zones and methods, you need to install and activate a plugin called <strong>\u201cTable rate shipping method for WooCommerce\u201d<\/strong> by Octolize.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This handy plugin helps you to calculate the shipping rate based on the price, weight, and delivery location of the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Set your shipping zone<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/OigoYRATO0wwqxqOYyp6l3YMo7exML4q_Fs-WAGsXmRT8-qF4dHRNugmKSgOhehL9AHTb5NVEiXH4riPN8EnWZYPawUOsI904Tsc8fCqIIK2_mPBwI6WbIEIBj51LcTmvADYI4FkHs_M139i0T4KGds\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have installed and activated this plugin, head to the shipping tab from <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings<\/strong>.&nbsp; Select <strong>\u201cAdd shipping zone\u201d<\/strong> and fill in the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, name the zone, select the regions in the zone, and select a shipping method. The regions in a single zone will have the exact shipping rate, only differing based on the weight and price of the package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this demonstration, I set my first zone to the USA as I intend to use UPS as the delivery service, which charges the same rate all over the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/6UE-QpNgs6YT9ntdYsaYjuTEt27kgQYKOSUcynF9Uia1PCMH2N07C87v4vWdAdPu77fEP8xhtS-jCXxQ2jM0Rp0xEpgpfsnuGAuAj5357SS7xAE7JMmu5JW-ZeOiTp5lVd828_H_ONZVwsdANR-zgl0\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three shipping methods available on WooCommerce, but thanks to the plugin, we have an extra, <strong>\u2018Flexible\u2019<\/strong> shipping method. We now have four shipping methods to choose from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A flat rate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local pickup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible shipping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Flexible shipping<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I selected flexible shipping for the USA zone and clicked on flexible shipping to rename it to UPS for clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you must first define the free shipping threshold and the shipping rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/fY0g3XaMmuhu97IWWk1fbBJRQjVEyJPwduR53YzyE7J6Fu9BQBIcmk1MelDFJ_y4Z-8MZ7aK4XaNTFFEuFBXRz6WyxDZcif91u9NkVhEfZxMzJkNdjDaKOj3AVlE38KUjBPbpo3SaH7eewYMX_9LAto\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I set $200 as the free shipping threshold. Then, I defined four shipping calculation rules, all based on the price of the package rather than the weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you can define the calculation rules based on the weight of the package, the common practice is to charge shipping based on the package cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/00waGXpZnBhuwCN4Ayv6A8CNKsnCqyRu1e4zf9n0rgOM5o_07K8HNei-RIdZon9V52hf2AvexnbR0C2Kgc-P-wc8h_kGtSN6Wbz4CBwsg2nq1ncMUQeTq2xLo84vkMKttZxnHpxH2be6tq8xixkosTw\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Three of the rules were defined for a package price under $200. The fourth rule was a reiteration of the free shipping rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use the free shipping note to prompt more purchases<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tell me, how many times have you spent extra to avoid paying for shipping? Happens with all of us all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, you can also check the <strong>\u201cDisplay the amount left for free shipping\u201d <\/strong>option to encourage buyers to purchase more items from your online store. On WooCommerce, this is called the <strong>LFFS<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can customize the LFFS notice text according to your liking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First-timers can get confused by the message: The \u201c%1$s\u201d placeholder displays the numeric value of the amount left for free shipping.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/LpEgWpz-xGC5lSccu4Gm_xvkv4Lf-6oibpku3mhA2hvTgPnult1RbtP9gQBKuZoWKjEke0OJKC7aJjbU809R7BzxFcoDbyY2JGwCXkfOmsUaToHQFBxC8jstxGB6ofd3al_it4l_ExrPbK1KvmlU8VM\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You are supposed to enter this placeholder in your message like I did:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cYou only need %1$s more to get free shipping!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>13. Automate taxes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you start running your online store, taxes will trouble you a lot. Taxes are applicable on every single order you deliver.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While manual tax calculation can work for a few orders, it will quickly become unmanageable when your sales volume increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WooCommerce comes with an automatic tax calculator. However, you will need to configure it to calculate the correct amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/Cskhz5XwNQNVVDaGISzn4Pgd1QgPI2HGfT5SaWgwGMZEUNuHG-ew76N9hNP1noRVCMD_g0-P3z-zIQgifacg47tR6BemeallXOOo9oyz4C6zMftlMXm8pNZGyzxe7Rt1S0CM_cASYwcasLE_H0qm3eI\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To start, go to <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings<\/strong> and check the <strong>\u201cEnable tax rates and calculations\u201d<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This action will create a new tab on WooCommerce settings named <strong>\u2018Tax\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, you can define the tax classes. Usually, there are three tax classes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduced rates \u2013 for specific products like books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zero rates \u2013 for tax-free products like medicines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standard rates \u2013 for all other products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I don\u2019t have medicines or other tax-free products on my webshop, I only entered <strong>\u2018Reduced\u2019<\/strong> in the Additional tax classes section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will create separate tax rate pages within the tax tab. You go to each page and define tax rates based on the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I defined tax rates for the Netherlands and the USA since the webshop was intended to ship to both of these locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will have to look up the tax rates for your specific location and products before you define the tax rates on your online store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Including\/excluding taxes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you sell to corporate clients or companies, you can enter product prices with taxes excluded. On checkout, the taxes will be added separately, which the companies can claim when they file their taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you sell to regular customers, I recommend including the tax in the displayed price and not calculated separately at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t include taxes in the price, you will have a high cart abandonment rate when customers see the huge tax amount at checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The settings on the tax tab under WooCommerce settings can allow you to make these configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After enabling tax calculations, you will also see a tax option within <strong>\u2018Product Data\u2019<\/strong> when editing or adding products. You can edit the product price and tax separately here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>14. Configure payment methods&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re almost at the end of this guide as I teach you how to add different payment methods to your online store.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my demonstration, I enabled two types of payment methods: Stripe and PayPal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable Stripe on your store&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Stripe allows customers to pay through their credit cards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To set up this payment method, you first need to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ferdykorp.com\/stripe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>register for Stripe<\/strong><\/a>. You can follow my short tutorial on the sign-up process too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How To Create A Stripe Account And Link It With WooCommerce\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lL15EarPKbE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After signing up, install and activate the plugin on WooCommerce called <strong>\u201cStripe payments for WooCommerce\u201d<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After activation, you will be prompted to connect your WooCommerce store to Stripe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/DNBzTPmKMmjl-EjUBEmwRXAPX0cGD5zycQkTVhFVnpCF5DCNZ7ZaMoySh0FPhxyO-YQs_3rjUr_ql6OvfsWEYDoMQ2KlUNe3JzUUMwrPCbCcg3EoJ2tHoh8Mnd4anCGp6ReAVVBfTelw9-7jBP9PJx4\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enable the payment gateways you want to add to your eCommerce website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also enable these payment gateways later from the settings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/wk9kNGGHLQvJOA9_4L9oQX7z86kaxzSbyeQsvKvhdkHp0oiPfjaxSo2f-qe8h2g8NE2wwbDWluRe2GnXyokSCqR3s-kZZ7NdAvVx2URuvzWER3ej1s4Z7KvxGagUy7eOaPqRTcTgREBYGPerbxQOWAA\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will notice a unique <strong>webhook URL<\/strong> during the setup.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/mJYjsllYI6hhZSKMOGnschJUsBFHgEi3w8oUlh9pI6-kooWgz6byQKcf_5FQ_2p-2H8g64ltnNmSJbTWq9LMGBnnNRcWcNY9UN8GMbo_2KkKFn7nMt1fRk3qIOD0HLGspGtEMWuDVoHRJdWnI11l98k\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy and paste this URL into the <strong>\u2018Endpoint URL\u2019<\/strong> field on the Stripe events page in your account.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/OKAF77bi2LAPDY4fu1a60DmLBJxLnnlwiYAI0SoxrOxjm9Xhp_v0zPuoCKEbvr5gVl47d9xrVcYTmDLOnaQ1qGmztMboGycT5pQayC18OcnuvBOTOQ9IpT2NJXFwgy-75vSnxVgOZGFeLzgQ6y_2bCA\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Stripe events page, enable all events under \u201cCharge\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/LMmyPo7icG5H9ijJqwQpDtViQgCTXA8iHq1k09vHxYiUpWJ9-fJZsLC2V8wo_nE2B3EhN8sXNuWwBH_hFLMDPczEhs9eu_H5ouaMXyseTYSAy-UYIbOPG7BtD7PBxRKoqcDG7Vd1-H-IBjQxMB27gW8\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon adding the event, you will receive a key. Paste this key into WooCommerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; Payments<\/strong> tab you can configure the payment settings, including the payment button label and express checkout.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enable PayPal on your store<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While Stripe allows multiple payment options, PayPal is also a widely used payment method.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The setup is quite easy, but you need to have a PayPal method for accepting payments from your store.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/U1IfGa1Q3Z-UlULEHlxBOdNPCKizavmS26rn4Q4KeNh0OMlDq-qmKCGz0OD7xjrsauWNNOvHTYgtYO4zuBSIwBprot_3eUOVFb_vk26tz45ICg26dNJc0lX9ZhY7Tv6Z3KFPZndtuqfm1ymTNMmpqTc\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To set up PayPal on WooCommere, search for <strong>\u201cWooCommerce PayPal\u201d<\/strong> from the plugins. Install it and connect it to your PayPal account.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"863\" height=\"363\" src=\"https:\/\/ferdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/setting-up-paypal-woocommerce-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ferdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/setting-up-paypal-woocommerce-2.png 863w, https:\/\/ferdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/setting-up-paypal-woocommerce-2-300x126.png 300w, https:\/\/ferdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/setting-up-paypal-woocommerce-2-768x323.png 768w, https:\/\/ferdy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/setting-up-paypal-woocommerce-2-600x252.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 863px) 100vw, 863px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To activate it, go to <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; Payments<\/strong> and toggle on PayPal from the list of available payment methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>15. Add a search bar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The header and footer section of a webshop contains the most important elements. I am inspired by Amazon and its amazing search bar on the header.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make my header look the same, I have found a great advanced search tool. You can get this tool from the plugins library.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/l-Ors3aH2o7N1QIUewyJmNwfA9BhiT4To5s6wXikaOCF9eyGoaNsjj7EJlyIBCpbgsTWBs53R_Lt3by5-jk-g51LrqIO_6lcrKfPFEzozu12gs7xapzsKbAiFUR-cA0vhSF7ADATqby7fqCGtHGyJ-s\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Just search for <strong>\u201cAdvanced Woo Search\u201d<\/strong>, install, and activate it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you cannot add an advanced search bar using the drag-and-drop Blocksy editor, the process is still pretty much simple.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to <strong>\u2018Advanced Woo Search\u2019<\/strong> plugin from the left control panel on WordPress and head to <strong>\u2018Settings\u2019<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/TDUf1NWQwnMJ99-yWMejUk2BAw8bmKkKlDbZduSmnI41B3j1XfDsuuL3nyiv9XXUlWBe7mwlGwaVXKn__no_Ks1t7bLwXjCSK2-VvsASUmYRG2neuHal8BmljC_f5Y2PufSusS3fi3YyJIa6Q8ym4gw\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the general tab, grab the shortcode and paste it as an <strong>HTML block<\/strong> on the header of your store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I prefer placing the advanced search bar on the top row so it&#8217;s visible to the visitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/Py9csQrrS0X4bCI6gWiO4dfZanOqh4Cms4x99G02Knmgkjk3XLvjT3piybwVsLtvIOLs5luGZukEixO3Zv8fCoZ3KBc4XBYCMgRIGNpJP4VGeQX6zQtJbaQetUhbo0kKY392sQ1k6klBd60JPS9rFSM\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Before checking out your new search bar, go to the plugin settings again and click the <strong>\u2018Reindex table\u2019<\/strong> button. Customize your online store<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your online store is now ready for customers! But there are still some changes that you could make so your store looks professional and builds trust with the audience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I suggest:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create legal pages for your website, including cookie policy, disclaimer policy, affiliate disclaimer, privacy policy, terms and conditions, and return policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customize your automated emails from <strong>WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; Emails<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimize your ecommerce site for all devices by going to <strong>Customize &gt; Header or Customize &gt; Footer<\/strong> and configuring by clicking the tablet and mobile icons on the bottom.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make your header sticky so visitors can find the search bar even when they scroll down.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the footer, add your logo, categories, legal pages, and contact information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>18. Backup your website<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hey there, awesome people! We&#8217;ve reached the grand finale of our web store creation journey \u2013 backing up your website. If you&#8217;ve been following along with my tutorial, chances are you&#8217;ve poured hours into crafting your online store. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let&#8217;s make sure all that effort stays secure. Backing up your website is not just important; it&#8217;s essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>All-in-One WP Migration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First up, we have the <strong>All-in-One WP Migration<\/strong> plugin. Think of it as a safety net for your online presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hostinger<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let\u2019s talk about Hostinger. With Hostinger, your backup lives online, like in a cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Log into your Hostinger account and navigate to the <strong>&#8216;Website&#8217;<\/strong> tab. Select your site and hit <strong>\u201cManage\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In your website\u2019s Hostinger dashboard, go to <strong>&#8216;Files&#8217; &gt; &#8216;Backups&#8217;<\/strong>.
