I made my first website in 1999. My brother taught me how to use Front Page Express to create a website with an index.html file that was holding 3 other htm files. The menu, the header and the content. When I made my first website I was sold! I loved it!

My first website was about the Dutch Soccer team. Besides I-frames I used tables to place all the informaton about the players in.

After Front Page Express I learned to work with Adobe Dreamweaver. In 2007 I heard about a CMS. A content management system. Up until that point all my websites were static.

But with a CMS I could create dynamic content. I started with Joomla. It was so much better than a static website. I started to develop my own templates and made websites for clients.

In 2011 I stumbled upon WordPress. It was not as good looking as Joomla, but everything worked so much smoother.

I made more than 100 websites and then, in 2015 I encountered the Enfold theme. This theme was a dream come true. Enfold took care of the layout and all the nice effects. I just had to add the content.

Since I had so many problems with making websites over the years, I decided to share my knowledge with others so they did not have to fo through the same trouble I went through.

In 2015 I started my Youtube channel with the name WordPress King. In 2017 I changed it to Ferdy Korpershoek and in 2024 I changed it to Ferdy.com | WordPress Tutorials | Ferdy Korpershoek
