Next, you have the option to choose a server location. Depending on your target audience, you can select an appropriate location. Last but not least, once that’s all taken care of, the fun part begins: setting up your WordPress website. Before you know it, you’ll be online.

After registering your domain name, you’ll have two options. One is to view your brand new website. You’ll get a temporary version that you can start working on right away. But here’s the advice: it’s smart to be patient before unleashing your creativity. It takes about an hour for your domain to be fully available.

The other option is ‘Manage Site’, where you can take a sneak peek. But why wait? Well, moving your site from a temporary to a permanent environment doesn’t always go smoothly.

For more details, you can go to the ‘Security’ tab on the left side of your screen. There, you’ll find the SSL option. A click on it allows you to check if it’s active. A bit of digital security never hurts, so make sure that green checkmark on SSL gives you peace of mind.

Getting Started with WordPress

Time to roll up your sleeves and get started with WordPress to design your website. You have two options: either go to ‘Auto Installer’ from your dashboard or navigate to ‘Website’ and then ‘WordPress’ on the left side of your screen.

Once in WordPress, you’ll have the chance to give your website a title. Then, you’ll be asked to choose a username and password. Last but not least, choose the language in which you want to create your digital masterpiece.

Click on Install, and within an hour, your website will be live. Well done! From your dashboard, you can now access your website. Here, you’ll be asked for an email address and password. Once you’ve done this, you can select the desired email client. An email client is the software that lets you manage and read emails on your computer, smartphone, or other devices. It allows you to send, receive, sort, and organize emails. There are various options, and it’s just a matter of what you’re used to working with. Possible options include Apple Mail, Outlook, or Gmail.

Through “Connect Apps & Devices,” you can automatically configure the desired email client. Personally, I prefer manual configuration. All the necessary information can be found on the Hostinger page.

Of course, it’s also possible to check your email via the internet. Go back to the Hostinger homepage and click on ‘Emails.’ You can then access your email box via the webmail button with your previously created email address and password.

A handy tip is to run a test immediately by sending a message from your new account to yourself.

By using settings and then identities, you can professionalize the appearance of your email messages. Adjusting the display name is an example of this. Also, using an email signature is practical and creates a trustworthy image.
